Wine Review - Albali - Caliza - Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon

Albali - Caliza - Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon - 2006 Barrel Aged - Spain

The winemakers of Albali have made this rich barrel aged red from selected Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, hand picked from their own vineyards. The wine is bursting with vibrant aromas of damsons and plums. Caliza is a delicious wine packed with flavour. The toasty oak notes, soft tannins and balanced acidity gathered through the three months barrel aging make this a perfect wine to accompany most red meat meals.

We enjoyed our bottle of Albali Caliza on a sunny day in April 2010 with barbequed bratwurst and spare ribs.
